The integration of activities in the management of biodiversity and natural spaces promotes environmental conservation, generating green employment and supporting sustainable tourism. BIOOK aims to enable anyone to practice science. To have fun, to explore life, to learn by experimenting and why not, to improve the world. BIOOK is based on the community biology (DIYbio), citizen science and digital naturalism movements. Made up of scientists, disseminators and educators, the Biook team has extensive experience in workshops, presentations, shows, festivals, projects, exhibitions, scientific tourism and other activities aimed at ensuring that society can enjoy life sciences in a fun way. , practical and experimental.
From Bilbao Convention Bureau we offer a service to measure the approximate tons of CO2 equivalent associated with the transportation and accommodation of those attending the events. To do this we need to know the number of participants, the city of origin from which they depart, the method of transport used to reach Bilbao and the number of nights they stay in the city.

Five families from Bizkaia with children receiving treatment for cancer at the Hospital de Cruces joined together in a “cuadrilla” (group) for the humanisation of the treatment of children and teenagers in hospital, the dissemination of bone marrow donations and research into childhood cancer through IIS BioBizkaia.
